### Kaleido Theme

This theme creates beautiful cyclical patterns of harmonious colours with different speeds, palettes, and types of reflection. The colours can be fixed, or vary depending on time. Like the Flag type, you can overlay hand pips to directly indicate time of day, or just let the colours flow.
#### Mood
Mood sets the overall animation type of the kaleidoscope effect. Choose among:
**Vibrant** - saturated colours with moderate movement
**Subtle** - slow, delicate, vibrant
**Flow** - graceful movement in one direction
**Serene** - elegant, relaxed, less saturated
**Energy** - vivacious, bouncing
**Active** - lively, cheerful, versatile
**Rave** - rapid, meteoric motion
**Sparkle** - scintillating points and colours
#### Colour
The kaleidoscopic effect uses 3-6 colours created from a base colour chosen here. Colours include all of those in the Analogue theme, plus these dynamic colours:
**Daylight** - a simulation of natural light as the day progresses
**Sunlight** - a more direct simulation of the sun's colour through the day
**Redshift** - natural white during the day, getting redder (less blue) at night
**Rainbow 1m** - cycles through the rainbow once a minute
**Rainbow 6m** - cycles every six minutes / secondary colour one minute
**Rainbow 1h** - cycles every hour / secondary colour 10 minutes
**Rainbow 6h** - cycles through six hours / secondary colour one hour
**Rainbow 1d** - cycles through 24 hours / secondary colour every four hours
**Moon Phase** - colour shows the phase of the moon: blue new, yellow full.
Secondary colours are used by some of the palette generation options.
*Note* - **Daylight**, **Sunlight**, **Redshift** and **Moon Phase** will not be accurate if location, time and date are not correctly set.
#### Palette
The base colour is transformed to create 3-6 harmonious colours based on various models of colour theory. Choices include:
**Mono** - Monochromatic (single hue variations)
**Similar** - Close hues (±5% from base)
**Adjacent** - Neighboring hues (±17% from base)
**Accent** - Similar hues with one contrasting color
**Anchor** - Adjacent hues with one contrasting color
**Opposite** - Complementary colors (180° apart)
**Double** - Two complementary pairs
**Split** - Split-complementary colors
**Triad** - Three evenly spaced hues
**Tetrad** - Four evenly spaced hues
**Oblong** - Rectangular color scheme (4 complimentary hues)
**Pentad** - Five evenly spaced hues
**Hexad** - Six evenly spaced hues
Palette types shown with **+** include extra colours. Palette types **Accent**, **Anchor**, **Opposite**, and **Double** use the secondary colour of the rainbows (if chosen) as their complimentary colour.
#### Variant
Variant presents a combination of two settings, represented as reflection type and animation code. Reflection types are **Whole**, **Half**, **Third**, **Quarter**, **Sixth**, **Eighth**, **Twelfth**. Animation codes **1** through **6** change how the colours blend and fade together.
#### Hands
Hand settings control how time is indicated on the kaleidoscope.
**None** - time is not shown with hands (however, colour may indicate time, as with the rainbow secondaries)
**Bright Hour** - the kaleidoscope is bright, and the hour hand is a narrow black notch
**Bright Clock** - bright kaleidoscope with hour and minute hands as notches
**Dim Hour** - dim kaleidoscope with a white pip showing the hour
**Dim Clock** - dim kaleidoscope with white hands showing hours and minutes
